FSD v14.3.9 and v14.2 Lite: Automatic Collision Evasion is HW4-first

Tesla rolled FSD Supervised v14.3.9 and v14.2 Lite on the 2026.27.6 vehicle build. This is a safety-and-polish drop, not a personality rewrite.

Automatic Collision Evasion is the one new named feature. On highways, if Automatic Emergency Braking alone will not resolve a threat under 85 mph — dry road, no pedestrians or cyclists in the path — the car can steer around. It is enabled when AEB and FSD Supervised are both on.

HW4 is ahead on the v14.3.x stack. A large share of HW3, including a lot of 2019–2023 Model 3/Y, is still on Lite. That is the owner-relevant split, not the marketing one. If your Software tab still says Lite, Collision Evasion is not your feature yet.

Other notes that show up in real miles: Tesla claims a faster reaction path (~20% in the notes), more decisive parking pins, better behavior around emergency vehicles and school buses, and sharper driver monitoring — gaze, eyewear, lighting. The DMS change is the one HW3 owners will feel first. It nags more honestly, which is annoying and also the point.

If you are on 2026.27.6: the useful report is not a launch-day vibe. It is the one change you felt on your actual commute. Parking? Less nagging? Emergency vehicles? Send that, not a star rating.
