FSD v14 Lite coming to Model S and Model X
The Lite path was a 3/Y story. It is about to be an S/X story too.

Tesla is preparing FSD v14 Lite for Model S and Model X. That sentence is easy to misread. Lite is not a punishment SKU. It is the stack Tesla runs on hardware that does not get the full v14.3.x feature set — most obviously Automatic Collision Evasion.
Refresh S/X (2021+) with HW4 should stay on the full branch. Older S/X with HW3, and some Intel infotainment cars, are the Lite candidates. If your car still cannot run the latest visualization, Lite is not going to fix the MCU.
Owner takeaway: an S/X that has been stuck on an older FSD branch may finally move. It will move onto Lite, not onto Unsupervised. Read the Software tab after the update. If it says Lite, you have the manners update, not the HW4 safety feature.
