Tesla adds a built-in ad blocker to the in-car browser
The undocumented change in 2026.32 that older hardware will actually feel.

Tesla’s onboard browser is Chromium in a custom shell. 2026.32 puts an ad blocker in that shell. Owner Roland Pircher showed the before/after on 2026.32.3: an AD button, a cleaner article, no floating video.
There is no blocklist editor. No whitelist. You turn it on and the car stops fetching a pile of third-party scripts. That is the correct default for a machine whose job is not to run someone else’s ad auction at 12V.
On Intel MCU cars this will be the difference between “browser is a toy” and “browser is how I check a reservation.” On Ryzen cars it is nicer, not revolutionary. Either way, it should have been here four years ago.
